What I mean is -

What is your favorite;
-Amp
-Cab
-Effect Processor/Unit(s)
-Guitar
-Any other info (ie. Leads, picks etc.)

For me the details are
1. Marshall 1969 Plexi Amp (100w)
2. Marshall Superlead Cabs
3. Boss GT-6 (I use a modified Metal Zone simulator, modified Acoustic Sim, EQ, and a few other lightly distorted sounds and phasers and flange)
4. Fender Stratocaster (I got a '91 Mexico Strat) but my favorite axe by looks would be the B.C Rich Beast (Black/Grey) or Jackson V (White/Black edging))
5. No favorite picks or anything as of yet, although I only use 1mm thickness ones.

OK, sure, I'll bite  Grin  There is so much great gear out there, and most of it I have never tried or knowingly heard.  But I'll list some of the favorite stuff I actually use (or want):

>> -Amp
Bedrock 50W Tube 1x12 Combo
Mesa Boogie Rectifier (too bad I've never owned one; not sure if it's the double or triple recto)
Marshall tube head of some sort (never owned one of these either, but I definitely want one)

>> -Cab
Anything solid; Celestions
(I'd also like to experiment with some aluminum-cone bass speakers, a la Hartke; but I don't own any cabs right now)

>> -Effect Processor/Unit(s)
Eventide H3000 (which I now actually have)
ProCo Rat (the original one from the 80s/early 90s)
Boss Metal Zone
Ibanez Tube Screamer
Lexicon Signature 284
Pod Pro (definitely has its uses!)

>> -Guitar
Anything with a pro-quality floating Trem and tonewood body (no basswood, and no paint); EMGs
Low action

>> -Any other info (ie. Leads, picks etc.)

Amps:
Just about any Marshall, preferably with 100 watts
Some Peaveys sound good (never owned one, hard to be more specific)

Cabs:
No opinion here.

Effects:
Cry Baby Wah (so classic that it's almost a clich?)
Digitech Whammy (never actually used one, but it sounds amazing in songs like Bruce Dickinson's King in Crimson)

I tend to use solely the overdrive on my amp, but I also own a Metal Zone and my band mate has a Smash Box- both excellent distortion pedals.

Guitars:
Love the V shape! Give me a Gibson '58 or a Jackson King V anytime. I've also owned a strat in the past, and though it's not my favorite shape, it is a good sounding guitar.

Pickups should be either EMG's (two 81's) or for a treblier sound, some Seymour Duncans. I've heard some good things about Bill Lawrence pickups too, but never actually seen or heard them.

Other Stuff:
Strings 10-52 gauge- no brand preferences yet.
Picks 2mm for the electric guitar, something thinner for the acoustic.
Shure SM-57 for recording.
A chromatic tuner would be handy as I play a lot in the Eb tuning, but currently I rely on the poor man's version (a standard tuner + capo)

EDIT: Shit, did I say Tube Screamer? I meant Smash Box, Sorry.
