My list is finally finished... Prob post it by the end of the weekend... Damn this year was tough... A few of my Honorable Mentions could have been Top 15 in other years... Great year for metal... Curious when you other writers are posting and what the rest of the forum thinks about this past year...

A number of great discs, but almost as many great disappointments as I look through my collection of 2008, working on that list now!
Edit: List is done, check it out! Not as disappointing as I initially thought!

WHAT! YOU HATED DAYLIGHT DIES?
Apart from that, our lists will end up being very similar.

Once again we can all agree on the awesomeness of Eluveitie (however that's pronounced!)
Seems I need to check out the band Equilibrium...

Looks like we all agree that Eluveitie released a stellar album this year. And they're releasing another one very shortly!

Thanks a lot guys for the rewiews of 2008 I really liked them. I somehow believe 2008 is not as good as you guys say but it is a debate so I am not going through it now. To be honest I think that 2008 main theme was ?a couple of good songs in an album? what I mean to say is that there is not so much solid albums... and I am pretty confident to say this:
In Flames: guys? (sigh) you are gone for good (I am very sad to say it)
Cradle of Filth: I am very disappointed
Dragonforce: recording Sonic Firestorm III
Into Eternity: from bad to worse
Zonaria: you were a very promising band, what just happened?
Deadlock: what possessed you guys to do this crap?
The Haunted: just when you think it cannot get any worse
Opeth: get a grip guys you still have some talent and please don?t go In Flames
Meshuggah: you have a new fan
Amon Amarth: HAIL HAIIIIL HAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL
Equilibrium: very good at copying Finntroll but, you?re not Finntroll and will never be
Eluveitie: well done
Arsis: I still believe your debut was your best work ever
Scar Symmetry: yes your majesty?
Sonic Syndicate and Mercenary: not your best year but go on
Martriden: I?ll buy your tshirt
Iced Earth: you?re not on the path again; listen to what you used to do in the 90s
Warrel Dane: I love you man
Metallica: you have a lot of cash in the bank why do you still want some more?
Gojira: I live in France now and France is not a metal nation
Canvas Solaris: at first I thought "well I don't know, it could be" but then... "wohhoooo where have you been?"
Hammers of Misfortune: give us some more!!!!!
Korpiklaani: nooooooooooo please not you too
Cynic: well well well what have we here?
Burst: YES WE CAN (not supporting or promoting any political point of view here)
Children of Bodom: are you fucking kidding me?
Enslaved: no comment? let?s wait and see
Six Feet Under: "The Edge of the Hatchet" is what you need if you?re out of talent and notes... and guys? no more drugs
