I LOL'd as some of the ones you mentioned are exactly what I was thinking!

Did you read the list on http://www.thegauntlet.com/article/1225/14830/.html (Top 10 Albums You Dont Want to Find Under The Tree Tomorrow, all 2008)?

Ozzy's Black Rain was 2007, I believe.

Is that seriously the name of the new Darkthrone album? That's just awful.

Agreed on Gojira - I think "Way of All Flesh" is better than "Mars to Sirius", or anything else they've done.

Good call on the Black Rain, I edited that one off...  Didn't even listen to it til a couple months ago, could've sworn it was 2008...

The Darkthrone album sounds worse than the title implies which is difficult...

I have to reiterate how disappointed I was with the production and overal sound on My Dying Bride's 'And Ode to Woe', they could've and should've done much better...

MMM, just read the list and I'd have a few to add but they hit the nail on the head with many of those...

Oh yeah, and why is Swallow the Sun - Plague of Butterflies considered an EP when it's 60 minutes long? I'm seeing it called an EP everywhere, but I always considered an EP to be an album that's less than 30 minutes. The first song alone exceeds that.

There's actually only that one song that is a new song so I understand the concept of calling it an EP...  But there are what 4 re-records on there???  A bit excessive for an EP
