Has anyone here made their own metal music vids?  I'm thinking of making one for a school project.  I am good with the technology, but I am afraid that the actual video itself will turn out all hoakey.  And is it just me, or is it that a lot of times the video distracts the listener/viewer away from the music?  I think I still don't really understand the concept of music videos, especially in a metal context.  Thanks!

Nah. I've never attempted it, although I've had MANY MANY ideas for them Smiley
Music videos are supposed to be as closely linked with the music as possible. They are the antithesis of conventional narrative cinema - quick cuts, non-sequitur style edits etc. If the music and the visuals compliment each other, then you're doing the right thing, in my opinion.
